The Centrepoint Tower 360 Bar and Dining restaurant is a rich sensory experience from the moment you are whisked up the elevator and step out to see the breathtaking skyline views of Sydney. As the restaurant slowly makes its rotation, enchanting you with all sides of Sydney, you are treated to delicious seasonal dishes from a fine dining menu.
For me, the entree and main course are the absolute standouts.
My entrée features two tiny roasted quail breasts perched on a smooth goat’s curd and balsamic glaze. Nestled between the breasts is a small quail egg, poached to perfection as the sunset orange yolk streams out when cut. Baby beetroot adds a tart earthiness and the dish is completed with silky gnocchi. The entrée is arranged perfectly in the centre of the plate, giving an illusion of a very small meal, but filled underneath with surprising extra tidbits. It leaves you feeling warm and comforted and ready for the rest of the meal.
My main course that follows is a soft melt-in-your-mouth confit barrowdale pork belly with a satisfying, salty, crispy crackling to top. The combination of the soft meat with the crunchy crackling gives a burst of flavour and delight. Turnip puree and crispy le puy lentils smooths the palette, and papaya adds freshness to cut through the rich pork.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and comforting. From the mahogany features to the golden light that streamed in through the windows that wrapped around the entire restaurant, giving a natural glow to the place. The staff emanated this atmosphere through their friendly and welcoming nature.
While it is highly expensive, the price is reasonable considering the beautiful views, delicious foods and enchanting atmosphere.
For anyone wishing to celebrate an occasion or just looking for a wonderful night out, 360 Bar and Dining is an experience you will never forget.
